Your trip doesn’t have to be complicated to work with us! We provide the highest level of service and attention to detail, whether you are traveling for weeks throughout Southeast Asia or for a quick getaway to New York City.
We apply our travel expertise and knowledge of your preferences to create an optimal trip. While a glut of information is available online, much of it is unvetted and unreliable. Even for a simple booking, we’ll guide you to the right neighborhood, the right hotel, the right room, saving you hours of time researching and freeing you of the burden of planning travel.

While we welcome clients who give us carte blanche, we also love to work with clients who love researching! Bring us your destination ideas, bucket lists, restaurant books, itinerary maps, hotel spreadsheets… we’ll couple that with our inside and ahead-of-the curve intel. For instance, our hotel partners let us know way in advance of construction and things that might disrupt stays, as well as of planned openings that will wow certain clients. Once we have your perfect itinerary outlined, we will take care of the mundane details that even the most consummate researchers don’t enjoy tackling, like triple confirming your hotel/dining reservations and arranging transportation. We’ll ensure every detail of your day is documented in our itinerary platform, which you’ll have at your fingertips while traveling.

Where you already know your destination and hotel, booking is complementary and you will be conferred VIP status. We have personal relationships with hoteliers throughout the globe, from well known brands to boutique properties. In advance of your arrival, we communicate with the hotel staff to ensure that they know our VIP client is arriving (along with all your preferences for your room, dietary needs etc); which will allow them to tee up the best experience for you. Wherever applicable, you’re conferred Virtuoso and preferred partner amenities, typically including: complimentary breakfast, resort credits of $100+, early check in/late check out, as well as upgrade if available.  

Yes, we charge a design fee. Alessia Bell Travel is a professional advisory firm, akin to a financial planner or interior designer. Applying our decades of client advisory experience, travel expertise, and partner connections, we work with you on a consultative basis to create and tailor your trip based on your desires and preferences. For those clients who have already identified their destination and accommodations, and who would like to take advantage of the Alessia Bell Travel VIP treatment and added amenities, we are able to provide complimentary bookings. 

In short, no. Hotels view Alessia Bell Travel (and our affiliated agency, Brownell) as a valued partner and confer benefits to clients through booking with us. Booking through Alessia Bell Travel will typically match the best available rate offered directly by the hotel, and you will have VIP status that is better than what you would have had booking directly (higher priority for upgrades, etc) plus amenities. There may sometimes be a better deal you can find online through booking.com or Expedia, often for the least desirable room within a category. If you book with Expedia or a similar site, you are considered the lowest priority on the hotel’s guest list, so if the hotel is overbooked or an issue arises, your booking may be in jeopardy.

Yes - we partner with a very experienced and creative air team who excels at piecing together complicated flight requests. If anything goes awry, instead of spending your precious time on hold with your airline, you’ll have direct 24/7 access to a human specialist to assist in rebooking and rerouting as needed.
